How tourist – user friendly is the Public Transportation from Chicago Airport Area?

Question by corkyb: How tourist – user friendly is the Public Transportation from Chicago Airport Area?
We are coming in for a quick weekend trip to see a few hockey games. I found a “Suite” Hotel near the Airport for cheap. How easy will it be to take trains/bus back and forth to Hockey games?
Costs? Time frames?
In general how is the Airport area for food, mall, entertainment, nightlife?
Thank you

Public transportation is pretty friendly in Chicago. However, I would suggest to take the Metra Train, as it is faster and will probably drop you off at the front door to your destination. In addition, you should try the hotel, as they may have some sort of shuttle service from and to the airport. Good luck!

Q&A: do you have feral cats where you are? if so, where are you from and how many cats and where do you find them?

Question by Galit Garsiel: do you have feral cats where you are? if so, where are you from and how many cats and where do you find them?
are they in the backyard, streets? do they leap into houses through the windows, walk on your balcony, sit on your windowsill? are there loads of them?
every yard has them, my parents’ yard got about fifteen. some yards got more. i counted twenty five in one yard. they walk on roofs and leap from garbag cans. one cat brought her five kittens into my parents building and hid them in the electricity closet outside my paretns’ door, third floor. my father chases them off his car every time he goes to it because they always sleep on the cars. i went to a job agency and above the lady’s head, (she was sitting at the desk), a feral cat was settling down on the windowsill outside. mother and kitten ran into a watches store and killed a sparrow in there and i saw one living in a shopping center and dozens living in the colleg’s yard.
i’ve fed so many feral cats i’ve lost count… and took several to the vet, but because there are millions and billions of them the shelters are full, so when they were healthy she just let them go where i found them, (california weather, no one freezes).
i have a huge, mean, slanted eyes black feral cat living in my house right now and my brother has a female feral; white, orange and gray. very bad tempered.
i asked where you’re from because when i lived in chicago for nine years i barely saw them. so some places don’t have them at all.
thanks, everyone. you’re great. nice to know others are helping out, too.

The hotel’s Web site says, “Take the ‘L’ downtown to visit the fabulous city of Chicago.” And is this an OK neighbor to be walking 5 or 6 six blocks at all times of the day? The address is 10249 West Irving Park Road, Schiller Park, IL.
